As you may already be aware, for some time now we have been developing plans to build a community hub for all things fitness, health and wellbeing related on land at Halmyre Street in Leith.
With detailed plans, funding, an experienced team of property development experts, and with planning consent and a building warrant in place, we were due to start work laying the foundations on Monday 11th February.
Disappointingly however, we have recently learned that the land’s owner has been exploring alternative uses for the land and has submitted a Planning Application Notice with a view to eventually build on an area that would encompass the land where our new centre would sit.
With this in mind, we are currently working with the land's owner and their prospective development partner to potentially find a solution that would provide a permanent home for Projekt 42 in the proposed new development, whilst also exploring a number of exciting new opportunities to find the best and most sustainable way forward for the charity's continued success in the long term.
Whilst this may seem like an unfortunate set of circumstances to find our selves in, we still passionately believe that everyone should have access to affordable and accessible fitness, yoga, counselling and life coaching services and we are as determined and committed as ever to find a permanent home for the Projekt 42 community.
Projekt 42 wouldn’t exist without its members and we really appreciate your continued support and patience while we work out the best way forward.
